A Message from Pastor Kevin DibbleyThis Sunday, in our study of the Wisdom Psalms, we are going to continue in Psalm 119:17-32. Our message is entitled, Wisdom for the Sojourner. As we welcome the Crown College students, I would like to challenge all of our students to use their time at college to form a “sojourner” mindset for all of life. A sojourner is someone who is not at home but living as a stranger or a foreigner. College is a time in life when you can feel like a sojourner. You aren’t where you came from and you haven’t yet arrived at where you are going. All Christians are called to live as strangers in this world. The temptation for anyone of us is to settle in and to try to be at home in this world. Well, we can’t and we shouldn’t. It is part of your maturing as a Christian disciple to learn to live as someone who is a citizen of a kingdom that is here but is still coming. Wisdom is learning to live in this world as one who belongs to the world to come. Come this Sunday, as we welcome new and returning students, and as we are all challenged to learn to live as sojourners. Looking forward to one outdoor service at 10 a.m. There will pizza to follow! Nursery Volunteers Needed - URGENTWe are in need of additional nursery volunteers to serve just one Sunday a month, especially in first service. Our congregation has been blessed with the addition of new young families and new babies and we love to provide them with a nursery environment with caring, responsible volunteers. However, we don't have enough volunteers to adequately staff the nursery as we would like, so we're looking for some people to step in to help! If you have children in Nursery through 5th Grade, please take a few minutes to complete our Children's Ministry Registration Form for the upcoming ministry year. Even if your child attended last year, we ask that every family complete a new registration so we have the most current contact information, emergency contacts, allergies, and other important details. As you complete the registration, we also invite you to prayerfully consider serving in our Children's Ministry. Whether it's rocking babies in the Nursery or helping children learn God's Word in Children's Church, your investment can have an eternal impact. Our ministry is built by faithful volunteers who serve on a rotating schedule, making it easy to both worship and serve. We are always looking for people to join our teams so we can be more effective for sharing the gospel and advancing the Lord's kingdom. We encourage you to take a little time after the service to speak with the ministry leaders and see if there are areas where you can use your gifts to serve! |

Student Ministry 2026-2027 Fall Kickoff!Mark your calendars for September 16 from 6:30–8:30 p.m. for our Student Ministry Fall Kickoff Party! We’re kicking off the new school year Waterbrooke-style with an evening filled with music, food, a bonfire, 9-Square, and plenty of time to welcome new students and reconnect with friends. Since your student was on the mailing list last year, we'd love to give you the opportunity to update their information for the coming school year. Please use the link below to update your student's college mailing address so we can include them again this year. If your student no longer wishes to receive these notes, simply email the church office and we'll remove them from the list. Missionary Spotlight - Karise PaganoI am Karise Pagano, an Italian-American missionary serving in Italy since 2013 and collaborating with local ministries since 2007. Sent by Waterbrooke through Entrusted Word Ministries, my mission is to make disciples by living among the Italian people, building relationships, sharing the Gospel, and mentoring sisters in Christ. Italy’s beauty and history contrast with its deep spiritual need, as many are trapped in superstition and false religious teachings. Effective outreach requires long-term relational investment to exemplify the life-transforming power of Christ. My ministry includes supporting Alba Safe House and Recovery Program, which provides housing, recovery, and training for women and children escaping human trafficking. I also serve The Masterpiece Project Worship Music Ministry, which creates Gospel-centered worship music in Italian. Additionally, I assist local ministries with consulting, administration, event planning, and translation, all while striving to share Christ and disciple others in their faith.
