A Message from Pastor Kevin DibbleyWhen someone becomes a Christian, some significant changes happen in their heart. First, the sin that has so long entangled them becomes repugnant. It is a genuine grief to them that they wasted such precious God-given time in such dishonorable ways. Second, they long to live for the glory and praise of Jesus. I received a text this week where a brother in the Lord who was travelling on business said that he was praying that his week would fulfill Colossians 3:23 “Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men.” Third, a person longs eagerly for the new heaven and the new earth. They look forward to the day when the struggle against sin and the sorrow over sin, guilt, and death are forever in the rear-view mirror. What a day that will be! This Sunday, this passage is for the battle-worn believer who is tired of sin and eager for holiness. It’s for the person who treasures Christ and is done with all the substitute gods that wage war against their soul. Our sermon this Sunday is taken from Psalm 119:1-16 and is called “Battling Sin.” We invite you to come and to drink of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ that flows from Him to us through His Word in the power of the Holy Spirit. Do you long to be increasingly like Jesus? Let’s pray that God encourages us and strengthens us together this Sunday and may His joy and peace fill and flood our hearts together. See you this Sunday! Nursery Volunteers Needed - URGENTWe are in need of additional nursery volunteers to serve just one Sunday a month, especially in first service. Our congregation has been blessed with the addition of new young families and new babies and we love to provide them with a nursery environment with caring, responsible volunteers. However, we don't have enough volunteers to adequately staff the nursery as we would like, so we're looking for some people to step in to help! If you have children in Nursery through 5th Grade, please take a few minutes to complete our Children's Ministry Registration Form for the upcoming ministry year. Even if your child attended last year, we ask that every family complete a new registration so we have the most current contact information, emergency contacts, allergies, and other important details. As you complete the registration, we also invite you to prayerfully consider serving in our Children's Ministry. Whether it's rocking babies in the Nursery or helping children learn God's Word in Children's Church, your investment can have an eternal impact. Our ministry is built by faithful volunteers who serve on a rotating schedule, making it easy to both worship and serve. Since your student was on the mailing list last year, we'd love to give you the opportunity to update their information for the coming school year. Missionary Spotlight - Karise PaganoI am Karise Pagano, an Italian-American missionary serving in Italy since 2013 and collaborating with local ministries since 2007. Sent by Waterbrooke through Entrusted Word Ministries, my mission is to make disciples by living among the Italian people, building relationships, sharing the Gospel, and mentoring sisters in Christ. Italy’s beauty and history contrast with its deep spiritual need, as many are trapped in superstition and false religious teachings. Effective outreach requires long-term relational investment to exemplify the life-transforming power of Christ. My ministry includes supporting Alba Safe House and Recovery Program, which provides housing, recovery, and training for women and children escaping human trafficking. I also serve The Masterpiece Project Worship Music Ministry, which creates Gospel-centered worship music in Italian. Additionally, I assist local ministries with consulting, administration, event planning, and translation, all while striving to share Christ and disciple others in their faith.
