Starting this Sunday morning, we are going to begin a new sermon series in the New Testament letter of 2 Peter, entitled “Called to Share in His Glory.”

One of the big questions that we struggle with as Christians is: “Can people really change?” I mean really and truly change for the better!

The epistle of 2 Peter is God’s answer to that question in the affirmative. Not only can people change and change for the better, but God has guaranteed it!

This week’s message is entitled “Union With Christ: The Common Ground of Glory.” Have you ever thought that as a Christian some of us are starting at a big disadvantage? Some people were born into Christian homes and were raised with “normal families” that taught them about Jesus and brought them to church. When it comes to being a Christian, they seem to have a “head start”. Some of us carry brokenness and deep baggage and it feels like we must catch up with the others. It’s like trying to take up a sport when everyone else has been playing for 3 or 4 years. Can we really learn and grow? It’s common for Christians to have to fight self-defeating hopelessness when it comes to believing real, deep, and lasting change can happen in our lives.

Here’s the good news. While there are obvious blessings to having been raised to know Jesus, every Christian has the same starting point when it comes to our standing and our potential in Jesus Christ. The gospel places every Christian on common ground and with the guarantee of a glorious outcome. If you have Christ, glory is guaranteed. Do you have that hope and assurance? Do you believe that God can truly change your life for the better? Do you long for deep and lasting change in key areas of your life?

Come this Sunday as we begin to learn not only that God can change us but how we can begin to take the first steps forward in a life of glorious transformation. Looking forward to praising God with each of you this Sunday at 9 and 11! Invite a friend or family member to join you! Let’s encourage each other and share the hope!

Fall Clean-Up Day is Saturday, October 17, from 9 a.m. to noon!

Waterbrooke students will be packing shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child at youth group on October 21st and are happily accepting gift and supply donations between now and then.

Waterbrooke Church is invited to partner with Student Ministry in sharing the Gospel with children around the world by filling as many boxes for Operation Christmas Child as we can!

Join our youth by purchasing items off the Waterbrooke Student Ministry Operation Christmas Child Amazon registry by using the following this link  or using the QR in the graphic.

*QR code works when you are in your Amazon account*

Thank you for helping our students share the love and hope of Jesus with others!

If you're not quite ready for Christmas, or you love to fill your own shoeboxes, Waterbrooke will be collecting Operation Christmas Child boxes during the week of  November 16-23.

Hello Waterbrooke Families,

We're excited to begin another wonderful year of Children's Ministry!

If you have children in Nursery through 5th Grade, please take a few minutes to complete our Children's Ministry Registration Form for the upcoming ministry year. Even if your child attended last year, we ask that every family complete a new registration so we have the most current contact information, emergency contacts, allergies, and other important details.

As you complete the registration, we also invite you to prayerfully consider serving in our Children's Ministry.

Whether it's rocking babies in the Nursery or helping children learn God's Word in Children's Church, your investment can have an eternal impact. Our ministry is built by faithful volunteers who serve on a rotating schedule, making it easy to both worship and serve.

On the registration form, you'll have the opportunity to let us know if you're interested in serving in:

• Nursery

• Sunday School

• Learning more before making a commitment

Thank you for partnering with us as we disciple the next generation. We can't wait to see what God has in store this year!

Complete the registration here:

We invite the young adults of Waterbrooke (high school graduates between 18 and 30 years of age) and the surrounding area to participate in fellowship and study in a community seeking to bring glory to Christ.

We will meet at the church every Monday at 6:30 p.m., alternating between teaching and small group weeks.

Whether you’re new or have been around Waterbrooke for a while, we’d love to have you join us as we grow together in faith and community!

Ruth: Loss, Love & Legacy
Women’s Fall Bible Study | Tuesdays, 6:30–8:30 PM
Beginning September 22
Join us this fall as we journey through the beautiful story of Ruth—a story of loss, love, redemption, and legacy.

In this 7-session Bible study by Kelly Minter, we’ll walk alongside Ruth through unbearable loss, unexpected love, and a legacy she could never have imagined. Along the way, we’ll see the faithfulness of God woven through every circumstance and discover how He continues to rescue, revive, and restore.
This newly updated study includes fresh content and new teaching videos from Kelly Minter and will encourage us to trust God’s providence even when we can’t yet see what He is doing.

Come grow in God’s Word, deepen friendships, and be reminded that God is faithfully at work in every chapter of our story.
