A Message from Andy KeppelJonah 4 This Sunday, Andy Keppel will conclude his series on Jonah. If you'd like to read ahead, here's the text of Jonah 4: 4 But it displeased Jonah exceedingly, and he was angry. 2 And he prayed to the Lord and said, “O Lord, is not this what I said when I was yet in my country? That is why I made haste to flee to Tarshish; for I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love, and relenting from disaster. 3 Therefore now, O Lord, please take my life from me, for it is better for me to die than to live.” 4 And the Lord said, “Do you do well to be angry?” 5 Jonah went out of the city and sat to the east of the city and made a booth for himself there. He sat under it in the shade, till he should see what would become of the city. 6 Now the Lord God appointed a plant and made it come up over Jonah, that it might be a shade over his head, to save him from his discomfort. So Jonah was exceedingly glad because of the plant. 7 But when dawn came up the next day, God appointed a worm that attacked the plant, so that it withered. 8 When the sun rose, God appointed a scorching east wind, and the sun beat down on the head of Jonah so that he was faint. And he asked that he might die and said, “It is better for me to die than to live.” 9 But God said to Jonah, “Do you do well to be angry for the plant?” And he said, “Yes, I do well to be angry, angry enough to die.” 10 And the Lord said, “You pity the plant, for which you did not labor, nor did you make it grow, which came into being in a night and perished in a night. 11 And should not I pity Nineveh, that great city, in which there are more than 120,000 persons who do not know their right hand from their left, and also much cattle?” For more infomation visit:

Polling Location
Waterbrooke has been asked to be a polling station for upcoming primary elections this Tuesday. The Hub and overflow seating areas of the church will be set up accordingly on Monday August 10, the primaries will be held on the 11th, and then the church will be back to normal by the 12th or 13th. We hope this causes no inconvenience to our congregation. If you had planned to have meetings or do work on these days, you may want to reschedule, or plan to use the farmhouse or lower level. Please pray that God will use the influx of many people who might not normally attend church to soften hearts and create curiosity about Jesus! If you have any questions, please contact the church office at 952-443-0062. |

Nursery Volunteers Needed - URGENT
We are in need of additional nursery volunteers to serve just one Sunday a month, especially in first service. Our congregation has been blessed with the addition of new young families and new babies and we love to provide them with a nursery environment with caring, responsible volunteers. However, we don't have enough volunteers to adequately staff the nursery as we would like, so we're looking for some people to step in to help! If you would be able to help out one Sunday a month, please contact Marcia Parel. |

Notes of Encouragement Ministry
Who doesn't love getting snail mail? Throughout the school year, a team from our church sends encouraging notes and Scripture to our college students. Since your student was on the mailing list last year, we'd love to give you the opportunity to update their information for the coming school year. Please use the link below to update your student's college mailing address so we can include them again this year. If your student no longer wishes to receive these notes, simply email the church office and we'll remove them from the list. Thank you for helping us encourage our college students while they're away at school! For more infomation visit: https://waterbrooke.breezechms.com/form/collegestudentaddresses

Missionary Spotlight - Karise Pagano
I am Karise Pagano, an Italian-American missionary serving in Italy since 2013 and collaborating with local ministries since 2007. Sent by Waterbrooke through Entrusted Word Ministries, my mission is to make disciples by living among the Italian people, building relationships, sharing the Gospel, and mentoring sisters in Christ. Italy’s beauty and history contrast with its deep spiritual need, as many are trapped in superstition and false religious teachings. Effective outreach requires long-term relational investment to exemplify the life-transforming power of Christ. My ministry includes supporting Alba Safe House and Recovery Program, which provides housing, recovery, and training for women and children escaping human trafficking. I also serve The Masterpiece Project Worship Music Ministry, which creates Gospel-centered worship music in Italian. Additionally, I assist local ministries with consulting, administration, event planning, and translation, all while striving to share Christ and disciple others in their faith. To sustain this work, I rely on financial partnerships with fellow believers. If you feel led to join my ministry team through a recurring gift, you can do so at https://www.entrustedword.
Click here to watch a quick video from the Founder and Director of Alba Safe House regarding my assistance in the ministry: https://youtu.be/ Please pray: • For God to provide financial partners to meet my deficit of $500/month. • For the ministries I serve & my dear friends who lead them. • For the Italian Citizenship Process to be successful this November & to see God continue to provide the costs through generous donations. • For the final edits on my book about loss and grief and its release in Italian: that God would bless others through my words. • That I would trust fully in the Lord for His provision of all I need to continue to serve Him. |
