A Message from Pastor Kevin Dibbley"Wisdom for the Anxious" | Psalm 91 This Sunday, in our study of the Wisdom Psalms, our sermon is on “Wisdom for the Anxious.” Over the course of our study of these psalms, we have looked at having a biblical perspective on anger, frustration, and covetousness. This week, we are going to look at battling anxiety. Anxiety is like the smoke from the Minnesota wildfires that have been hanging over the Twin Cities area this past week. It fills the air that we breathe. Anxiety has numerous debilitating consequences to our lives but one we often fail to think about is how it keeps us from living a courageous life for God. Battling fear is normal. Facing or overcoming fear is a regular theme in the Bible. Without oversimplifying the many dimensions of facing anxiety and fear, the Psalms are super-helpful in lifting our eyes above all the uncertainty and potential catastrophe of this life, to the reality of God. Knowing God truly and trusting God daily is crucial to living in an anxiety fueling world. This week, our study will be taken from Psalm 91. Read ahead. Pray over it and pray over one another. Let’s gather to worship and to grow to know and to love the God who has made it His business to redeem and to protect those that trust in Him. Looking forward to worshipping with you all this Sunday. God is so good! For more infomation visit:
