A Message from Pastor Kevin Dibbley"Summer of Wisdom: The Blessing of Wisdom" | Psalm 1 This Sunday, we are going to begin a summer sermon series in the Psalms called “Summer of Wisdom.” The “wisdom psalms” are psalms designed to do exactly what you would expect… to impart to us divine wisdom. Psalm 111 reads “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom; all those who practice it will have understanding. His praise endures forever!” Biblical wisdom is possessing a true knowledge of God and living a life that is consistently aligned with bringing glory to God and good/blessing to humanity. Wisdom possesses true knowledge and practices it. This Sunday, we will begin with Psalm 1. It is suggested by Bible scholars that Psalm 1 and 2 are the introductory summary statements for understanding all of the Psalms. Psalm 1 shows both the present practical implications of pursuing God’s wisdom and the eternal implications of choosing the right or wrong path. Pursuing wisdom has serious implications for our lives. Here’s a simple question for you: How intentional is your pursuit of possessing the wisdom of God? Think for just a moment: What are the influences that are predominantly shaping your understanding of life and how to live it? What is shaping your values? Where do you get your wisdom? Psalm 1 will teach us that it is the joy and the duty of every sincere Christian to make the pursuit of God’s wisdom the priority of his or her life. God’s blessing is for those who take this calling seriously. We are looking forward to growing together in God’s Word and God’s wisdom this summer. We hope to see you this Sunday. Invite a friend as we join to worship our Lord at 9 and 11 a.m. God is good! For more infomation visit:

All Church Chicken LuncheonAfter the 10 a.m. service - Sunday, June 14, 2026 On Sunday June 14, we will be having one outdoor service at 10:00 followed by a catered roast chicken dinner. If the weather does not cooperate, we will move the service indoors that day at 10:00 with the luncheon afterwards. Plan to bring lawn chairs, sunscreen and water if we are outdoors. We do need a few additional dishes for the luncheon and if you can help with salads or desserts, please click the link here and sign up to bring something! It's wonderful that we have such a great facility and grounds to be able to have these opportunities for fellowship with both our services together! Afghan Refugee Family Update
Finally! The Rasooli family is out of their apartment in South Minneapolis and now renting a twin home is a safe community in Shakopee! Thanks to many in the congregation who helped with furnishings and getting them moved in! (See the intrepid Waterbrooke moving crew in the picture!) The Rasooli's are thrilled to be in their new spot. The rent to buy arrangement will give them a leg up to purchase the home in the future. Naim has had several job interviews in the Shakopee area but no offers yet. He plans to transfer to the Shakopee Walmart from his current Bloomington location if nothing else opens up. Sohaila was able to transfer to the New Horizon Daycare in Shakopee about a mile from their new home. The children are enrolled in the public schools for September. Prayer Request: The family has gotten no further information about their green card application. Our partner organization, Arrive Ministries, confirms that many Afghan families are experiencing no communications since their revetting interviews. With recently announced changes from the Federal government, there is much apprehension and confusion about the situation. Please pay that their application will be approved and that the Lord will grant them peace and patience in the meantime. Also, please pray that the Holy Spirit continues to soften their hearts to the gospel. |

Feed My Starving ChildrenNew Waterbrooke Ministry Volunteer with us at Feed My Starving Children on the second Friday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Join us for one event or come to them all! We are hoping to have 25 participants each month. Email invitations were sent on Wednesday—simply sign up for the date(s) you would like to attend. If technology isn’t your thing, you can also contact Dan Citarella at least two weeks before the date(s) you are available, or contact the office for help. Can’t make these scheduled times? We’re also looking to form additional groups. Feed My Starving Children offers five packing sessions each day, six days a week, making it possible to accommodate a variety of schedules. Simply contact Dan with the dates and times you are available, and we will do our best to connect you with others who can serve alongside you. Those who have participated in this ministry have consistently shared how meaningful and enjoyable the experience has been. We’re confident you will be encouraged as you help pack meals that save lives around the world. Feel free to invite friends and family to join us so that together we can pack even more meals and make an even greater impact as we help to "feed God's starving children hungry in body and spirit." |
