A Message from Pastor Kevin Dibbley"Believe Your Baptism" | Romans 6:1-14 We are excited this Sunday to worship outside on Memorial Day Sunday and to celebrate the ordinance of baptism. Baptism is a central and foundational practice of the Christian church and a very important starting point for every Christian. For the Christian, your baptism serves your life much like a wedding ring is a reminder to you of the covenant that you entered into at the beginning of marriage. If you have been baptized as a believer in our Lord Jesus Christ, your baptism serves as a reminder not simply of what Christ has done for you but also, of the new dominant reality that shapes the rest of your life. I don’t know if you have thought about this, but your baptism is a God-given tool for battling sin. It is an antidote for the spiritually defeatist mindset that can infiltrate our lives when the enemy attacks us as we go through a season of struggle, failure, temptation, or weakness. Our message this week is called “Believe Your Baptism.” It’s a message not just for new Christians but a reminder to all Christians, that you are not who you once were. Come as we celebrate the baptisms of new Christians and as we remind ourselves of the beauty and power of our relationship with the risen Christ. Looking forward to worshipping and celebrating with you all. Bring a lawn chair or a blanket and bring a friend! See you at 10 a.m. this Sunday. For more infomation visit:

Benevolent Ministry
We have a long history at Waterbrooke of coming alongside others who are hurting, whether it be spiritually, emotionally or financially. For those with financial needs those with resources generously contribute to our benevolent fund so that we can help others. We review each request on a case by case basis to ensure we are wisely stewarding the funds we have been entrusted with. In the past few months, we contributed towards the cost of a large car repair bill for someone who could not afford the entire payment. This was a big help, as car repairs can be very expensive! This individual was really appreciative of the generosity of our congregation! If you'd like to support our brothers and sisters in need, and you're able to make an extra gift for that purpose, you can contribute to the Benevolent Fund by selecting that option online or by writing "Benevolent" on a check. If you need assistance for any financial needs, please contact the church office. |

Pray For Our Student Missions
This summer, we are excited to support three of our students as they serve on mission trips around the world. Please keep them in prayer as they go out to share the love of Christ and serve alongside ministry partners. Anna Johnston will be serving in Tulsa, Oklahoma, from July 11–17 and in Belize from July 25–31 through trips coordinated by Maple Plain Community Church and hosted by Praying Pelican Missions. Pray for safe travel, good health, unity within the team, spiritual growth, and opportunities to build meaningful relationships while serving others. Please also pray for wisdom for local ministry leaders and open hearts for those hearing the gospel. Ian MacFarlane will be traveling to Berlin, Germany, from May 19–29 with a team from Crown College. Pray for health, safety, and unity as the team ministers in a cross-cultural setting. Pray that they would have servant hearts, humility during cultural adjustment, and wisdom to listen well to local ministry leaders as they seek to serve the people of Berlin faithfully. Lauren Savage will also be serving from May 19–29, traveling to the mountains of Guatemala with a Crown College team partnering with Students International. Pray for safe travel, meaningful gospel conversations, fruitful ministry in the women’s program, and personal clarity as Lauren seeks God’s direction regarding missions. We are thankful for these students’ willingness to serve and invite you to join us in praying for them throughout the summer. |

Feed My Starving ChildrenNew Waterbrooke Ministry Volunteer with us at Feed My Starving Children on the second Friday of each month at 7:00 p.m. Join us for one event or come to them all! We are hoping to have 25 participants each month. You will be receiving email invitations soon—simply sign up for the date(s) you would like to attend. If technology isn’t your thing, you can also contact Dan Citarella at least two weeks before the date(s) you are available, or contact the office for help. Can’t make these scheduled times? We’re also looking to form additional groups. Feed My Starving Children offers five packing sessions each day, six days a week, making it possible to accommodate a variety of schedules. Simply contact Dan with the dates and times you are available, and we will do our best to connect you with others who can serve alongside you. Those who have participated in this ministry have consistently shared how meaningful and enjoyable the experience has been. We’re confident you will be encouraged as you help pack meals that save lives around the world. Feel free to invite friends and family to join us so that together we can pack even more meals and make an even greater impact as we help to "feed God's starving children hungry in body and spirit." |

Looking to Serve?Volunteers Needed in Worship Tech and Children's Ministry We are currently looking for volunteers to serve in two important ministry areas: Worship Tech and Children’s Ministry Director. If you enjoy working behind the scenes with sound, slides, or other tech during worship services, we would love to have you join the Worship Tech Team. Training is available, and no advanced experience is necessary — just a willingness to learn and serve. If you are interested in this opportunity to serve or would like more information, please contact Andy Keppel. We are also seeking a Children’s Ministry Director to help lead and coordinate our children’s ministry. This role is ideal for someone with a heart for kids and families who is organized, encouraging, and passionate about helping children grow in faith. If you are interested in serving in this opportunity or would like more information, please contact Bruce Washington. Thank you for considering how you can use your gifts to serve our church family! |

Missionary SpotlightThe De La Vega Family | Honduras/British Columbia Dear Waterbrooke Church Family, We hope you are all doing well by God’s grace and look forward to seeing you soon Lord willing! At the beginning of this year our family decided to move to Salmon Arm, BC, Canada to explore a long-term collaboration with a church there. It's been an incredible opportunity for us to connect with various churches and believers in the area and see what God is doing in that part of Canada and the world. Our newest addition August Leon was also born and is doing well thanks to God on April 7! He has been the sweetest gift to our family in this new and challenging season. While this has become a vision trip for our family, we are relying on and pursuing God's wisdom to continue to give us discernment on what God would have us do (continue to pursue a long-term stay or return to Honduras). We will be making the decision to stay or head back to Honduras while keeping the special connections we have made here . In Honduras we have maintained ongoing partnerships and relationships with ministries and missionaries in Honduras as we seek to continue to build Christ's kingdom there. We appreciate your prayers as we seek God’s wisdom in these coming months. Love, The De La Vega family |
