A Message from Pastor Kevin Dibbey"Receiving the Word with Eagerness" | Acts 17:1-15 This Sunday, we will be studying Acts 17:1-15. In this section, Luke makes a clear distinction between the Jews in Thessalonica who heard Paul reasoning from the Scriptures and the Jews from Berea. He writes, “Now these Jews (the Bereans) were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see if these things were true.”

Parent-Child DedicationSunday, November 16, 2025 We are excited to be planning a special Parent-Child Dedication Sunday on November 16! This is a beautiful opportunity for parents to publicly commit to raising their children in the love and truth of Jesus Christ, and for our church family to pledge our support and prayers for them. If you would like to participate in our upcoming dedication service, contact the office at office@wbfellowship.org, and a pastor will reach out to you soon. Let’s celebrate together as we dedicate our children to the Lord and trust Him for their future! For more infomation visit: http://waterbrooke.church/events/parent-child-dedication/2025-11-16

Benevolent Ministry
Ever since Waterbrooke was started 25 years ago, we've made it our philosophy to help others who are hurting, whether spiritually, emotionally or financially. For those who run into financial hardships, others with resources have generously contributed to our benevolent fund so that we are in a position to help when it is most needed. We review each request on a case by case basis to ensure we are wisely stewarding the funds we've been entrusted with. Typically we help only members of our body or close family/friends of our body. Recently, we helped pay a portion of college tuition for a student who had started a new job but didn't yet have a paycheck to make the monthly payment that was due to the university. We also helped a family with high grocery bills via a Costco gift card. These gifts helped ease anxiety about financial resources and showed the recipients that Waterbrooke cares for them. If you'd like to support our brothers and sisters in need, and you're able to give an extra gift for that purpose, you can contribute to the Benevolent Fund either by choosing that option online or by designating "Benevolent" on a check. We're grateful for your generosity! if you find yourself needing financial help, please contact the church office. |

Operation Christmas ChildLast day to drop off your box at church is November 16. Millions of God's people will be packing and praying over their shoe-boxes that have been sent to 170 different countries and territories. Let's not miss this well-organized opportunity to reach the nations' kids. The gospel is proclaimed through local church partners and through the 12-lesson discipleship course, The Greatest Journey. Johan, a box recipient, reminds us, "It's not the box - it's God behind the box." National Collection Week is November 17-24. Stop by the display in the lobby and grab a box. Here's a link to learn more about Operation Christmas Child. It's Shoebox Time! ~ This is an especially fun activity for families to do together. You can simply take a box from the display and drop it back off in the church lobby by Sunday, November 16th. We will gather those gifts, and they will be on their way around the globe. Click here for packing instructions. ~ Pray that God will prepare the hearts of shoe box recipients to hear His Word and place their trust in Him. Pray also for local ministry partners who distribute shoe box gifts and tell boys and girls about God's greatest gift, Jesus Christ. ~ For more information, or if you have questions, speak with Dianna Duncan or Sandy Esters. |
