Congratulations on your engagement! We are honored to come alongside to encourage you as you grow as a couple and celebrate your wedding day.
Pre-Marital Counseling
To strengthen your relationship, we ask that engaged couples participate in premarital preparation. This may take place with Waterbrooke pastoral staff or you may arrange for this through an approved premarital education course of your choice. You’ll discuss this with pastoral staff.
Guidelines for Weddings Hosted at Waterbrooke or officiated offsite by a Waterbrooke pastor:
- Marriage: We believe that God ordained marriage as a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, designed to reflect the steadfast love and unwavering faithfulness He has revealed through Jesus Christ.
- Spiritual Foundation: We encourage couples to build their marriage on a shared faith in Jesus Christ, fostering a relationship rooted in spiritual unity and commitment to Him.
- Sexuality: We affirm that the human body and sexuality are gifts from God, and we believe that marriage is the God-ordained setting for the expression and enjoyment of sexual intimacy.
- Divorce and Remarriage: We recognize that Scripture identifies certain grounds for divorce and that remarriage is acceptable in these circumstances. The impact of a previous marriage(s) on the current relationship will be taken into consideration.
