Election LocationWaterbrooke has been asked to be a voting station for upcoming elections on Tuesday November. 3. The Hub and overflow seating areas of the church will be set up accordingly on Sunday, November 1 after church, the election officials will set up on Monday 11/2, the election will be held on the Tuesday 11/3 , and then the church will be back to normal by about mid-day Wednesday 11/4. We hope this causes no inconvenience to our congregation. If you had planned to have meetings or do work on set up or take down days, you may want to reschedule, or plan to use the farmhouse or lower level. We recommend that the congregation not plan to use the church at all on the actual election day Tuesday 11/3, but the farmhouse will be available if needed. Please pray that God will use the influx of many people who might not normally attend church to soften hearts and create curiosity about Jesus! If you have any questions, please contact the church office at 952-443-0062. |

De La Vega Family UpdateHi Dear Waterbrooke Church Family, We are so thankful for your consistent prayers and love to our family. We miss you and look forward to Lord willing seeing you all this year if God allows! As many of you knew - we spent 6 months in Canada this year seeing if God would have us make a move as a family and to be a part of the church there. It became much more of a vision trip where we were so blessed by God’s goodness and challenged in many ways. We are so thankful that our newest addition, August Leon, was born safely while we were there as well. For now we have our calling here in Honduras - but that door continues to be a possibility for us. We are waiting for Diego’s permanent residency to be processed and will continue to pray over that mission as a family. We are very thankful to have our home here in Honduras and be able to love people here in the grace of Jesus. We are now hosting a small group from our church every Thursday evening. This past week our kids also began sitting and studying alongside us. While talking about opposition on the mission field our daughter Ellie shouted out “Jesus will fight for us!” This was a sweet moment that silenced our group to reflect on how our Savior is our protector in all the senses. He gives us what we need while we are on mission and He fights for us! We are thankful to also be able to lead worship with this small group and bless the families that attend from our mountain. Something else that is exciting is that God has allowed me to be in the process of publishing my second children’s book which is called “JOY!”. It is a gospel centered Christmas book for kids and it has been so much fun working with our artist to design the visuals to go alongside the message of Jesus! We praise God for our kids growing in their love for Jesus and desire to be in His Word. August is getting a lot of love from his older siblings as well. Diego and I have been feeling overwhelmed in gratitude for this season and the precious gifts our children are. We are so thankful for your encouragement and the blessing you are to us! In Christ, Lauren, Diego, Ellie, Joaquín, Rowan and August |
