A Message from Diego De La VegaEphesians 2:1-10 This Sunday, Diego De La Vega will share the message from Ephesians 2:10. You can preview the text of the message below: And you were dead in the trespasses and sins 2 in which you once walked, following the course of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience— 3 among whom we all once lived in the passions of our flesh, carrying out the desires of the flesh and the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, like the rest of mankind. 4 But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, 5 even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved— 6 and raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, 7 so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. 8 For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, 9 not a result of works, so that no one may boast. 10 For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them. Benevolent Ministry Update
We have a long history at Waterbrooke of coming alongside others who are hurting, whether it be spiritually, emotionally or financially. For those with financial needs, such as medical bills, unexpected car break downs, appliance repair, rent assistance and other situations, those with resources generously contribute to our benevolent fund so that we can help others. We review each request on a case by case basis to endure we are wisely stewarding the funds we have been entrusted with. Recently we contributed towards addiction treatment for a family member of one of our regular attenders. Addition treatment can be very costly, with insurance not always covering the total cost, yet we know how critical it can be to break the cycle of dependence and shame that often fuels the addiction. We pray that our contribution shows our support and is an integral part of the process that can bring freedom and healing! If you'd like to support our brothers and sisters in need, and you're able to give an extra gift for that purpose, you can contribute to the Benevolent Fund either by choosing that option online or by designating "Benevolent" on a check. If you need financial help, please contact the church office. |

Visitation Team
Do you have a heart for the elderly? We would love for you to join the Visitation Team, part of Congregational Care. We're looking for people who can visit and pray with our homebound members once each month. We are currently serving 6 members, with four teams of visitors, and would be grateful to have a few more teams. Whether it’s bringing comfort, offering a listening ear, or simply sharing God’s love, your presence can make a big difference. If you’d like to be part of this ministry, see Joyce Casey. |
