This Sunday, we are going to be studying the final scene in the gospel of John where Jesus talks very personally with Simon Peter. Simon’s journey in discipleship has been a roller coaster, to say the least, because His expectations around what following and loving Jesus needs major adjustments. I would suggest that this is true for any disciple of Jesus. We love Jesus, but we don’t know how to love Jesus. Our faith is genuine, but it is immature. 

This Sunday’s message from John 21:15-23 is called, Loving Jesus Jesus’ Way. Jesus' final words to Simon Peter are not simply corrective; they are enormously gracious and re-directive. Peter had just recently denied His relationship with Jesus three times before the crucifixion. Yet, here is Christ fully committed and completely compassionate – calling Simon to love Jesus, Jesus’ way. If your faith is genuine and your love for Christ is sincere, this passage will help adjust your expectations to the expectations of Jesus.

It's that time of year again! College kids are off to school, some returning and some for the very first time. We would love to send monthly cards of encouragement to the students. Each month, they will get a snail mail card with an encouraging scripture and a reminder that we are praying for them.

- 5:30 p.m. Come early to experience an Italian Aperitivo (light appetizers), purchase art pieces made by the women of Alba House, and chat with Karise before the class!

Andrea Merboth will walk you through the joy of creating an art piece. She will provide all the necessary supplies.

Join us in welcoming Crown College students to Waterbrooke as they return to school after summer break.  We love to invite those who've already attended Waterbrooke in the past as well as introduce new students to our body with an invitation to a pizza luncheon after 2nd service on August 24th.  

Please join us to meet the students and offer them encouragement and a warm welcome as well as to share a meal and fellowship with others in Waterbrooke.

Alba Safe House is one of the ministries with which Karise Pagano collaborates as Waterbrooke's ambassador to Italy. This is the 4th year that Waterbrooke is hosting a missions event as we join Alba's Annual Walk, Run, Bike for Recovery.

Back to School!

K-4th grade will be starting Sunday school on Sunday, September 28th. 

 - Downstairs during the second service, kids will be dismissed during worship.

5th-6th Graders will be starting October 5,

I am Karise Pagano, an Italian-American missionary serving in Italy since 2013 and collaborating with local ministries since 2007. Sent by Waterbrooke through Entrusted Word Ministries, my mission is to make disciples by living among the Italian people, building relationships, sharing the Gospel, and mentoring sisters in Christ. Italy’s beauty and history contrast with its deep spiritual need, as many are trapped in superstition and false religious teachings. Effective outreach requires long-term relational investment to exemplify the life-transforming power of Christ.

My ministry includes supporting Alba Safe House and Recovery Program, which provides housing, recovery, and training for women and children escaping human trafficking. I also serve The Masterpiece Project Worship Music Ministry, which creates Gospel-centered worship music in Italian. Additionally, I assist local ministries with consulting, administration, event planning, and translation, all while striving to share Christ and disciple others in their faith.
