A Message from Pastor Kevin Dibbley"The More Excellent Way" | 1 Corinthians 13 This Sunday morning, we will continue our study of the doctrine of God’s love. Our text will be one of the most well-known passages on love in the Bible, 1 Corinthians 13. The message is entitled, The More Excellent Way. 1 Corinthians was written by the apostle Paul to a congregation that desperately needed to mature in love. Though they were genuine Christians, the community was riddled with divisiveness, spiritual pride, moral compromise, and selfishness. The two letters to the Corinthians show us how to shepherd people towards true gospel-rooted community. Last weekend, as we celebrated the grand opening of our new ministry hub, I made the point that one of the core aims of our church family is to learn how to really be the family of God. We want to be a community where people can genuinely experience the grace and love of God within the fellowship of God’s people. 1 Corinthians 13 is very helpful in shaping how we understand fostering the love of Christ within our lives as Christ’s people together. It provides for us a framework for how we think about ministering together in love. I think you will find it helpful and I pray that God will use it to continue to build us up together as a church in love. Looking forward to worshipping with you. There are two services Sunday at 9 and 11 indoors. Invite a friend! For more infomation visit:

Missionary SpotlightKarise Pagano: Italy I am Karise Pagano, an Italian-American missionary serving in Italy since 2013 and collaborating with local ministries since 2007. Sent by Waterbrooke through Entrusted Word Ministries, my mission is to make disciples by living among the Italian people, building relationships, sharing the Gospel, and mentoring sisters in Christ. Italy’s beauty and history contrast with its deep spiritual need, as many are trapped in superstition and false religious teachings. Effective outreach requires long-term relational investment to exemplify the life-transforming power of Christ. My ministry includes supporting Alba Safe House and Recovery Program, which provides housing, recovery, and training for women and children escaping human trafficking. I also serve The Masterpiece Project Worship Music Ministry, which creates Gospel-centered worship music in Italian. Additionally, I assist local ministries with consulting, administration, event planning, and translation, all while striving to share Christ and disciple others in their faith. To sustain this work, I rely on financial partnerships with fellow believers. If you feel led to join my ministry team through a recurring gift, you can do so at https://www.entrustedword. Click here to watch a quick video from the Founder and Director of Alba Safe House regarding my assistance in the ministry: https://youtu.be/ Please pray: • For God to provide financial partners to meet my deficit of $500/month. • For the ministries I serve & my dear friends who lead them. • For the Italian Citizenship Process to be successful this November & to see God continue to provide the costs through generous donations. • For the final edits on my book about loss and grief and its release in Italian: that God would bless others through my words. • That I would trust fully in the Lord for His provision of all I need to continue to serve Him. |
