"The Lord Who Saves and Sends"

This sermon is called “The Lord Who Saves and Sends.” I don’t know how many of you carry a deep sense of your brokenness and sin. Sometimes, it just sits under the surface. It’s guilt. It’s shame. It’s woundedness. I would suggest to you that most of us would have the reaction that Simon Peter has in Luke 5:1-11 when he realizes that Jesus is Lord. He spontaneously exclaims “Depart from me, for I am a sinful man, O Lord.” Whatever was underlying Peter’s conviction was not as great as Jesus' underlying call on His life. Peter was a struggling sinner but Jesus was an even greater Savior. As we worship together, let’s pray that whatever lies just under the surface our hearts would be swallowed up by what’s in the heart and mind of Jesus – for us and for the world! Looking forward to being captivated all the more with Jesus our Lord and Savior!
