"The Incredible Transforming Power of the Holy Spirit"

Hello, fellow Waterbrooke shelter-in-place people! We are looking forward to connecting with one another again via Livestream for our Sunday worship. This Sunday, in our study of Romans 8, we are going to begin to look at life in the Spirit. The message is called: "The Incredible Transforming Power of the Holy Spirit". Jesus said that it was better for us that He leave so that He could send His Holy Spirit (John 16:7). We are going to look at why that is on Sunday. But here is the spoiler: The Holy Spirit totally transforms us so that what would have normally taken us down, ends up taking us up. What would we have turned away from in fear, we face full-on with hope. This is a timely word for God’s people and I ask you to read over and over Romans 8 and pray over and over for the people and mission of Waterbrooke. From Series: "More Than Conquerors"

Our new sermon series is on one of the greatest chapters in the Bible, Romans 8! This series is entitled "More Than Conquerors: Everything Leads to Glory". We are in interesting and unprecedented times and it is crucial for us to understand the absolute security and incredible resources that we possess as believers for negotiating uncertain and difficult times. Won’t you read through Romans 8 several times? I am convinced that if we believe what we read here, we will have peace and we will have the power to live fully engaged missional lives for the gospel. Let’s pray together that the church would move mightily forward at this very hour!
