November 22, 2020 From Groaning to Glory: Pleading That Pleases (and Persuades) God

How do you pray when God’s people are suffering in a world of hostility and chaos? What does praying in faith look like when God’s people are living in misery and looking for mercy? Lament!

Scripture References: Psalms 79:9

From Series: "All is Calm, All is Bright"

For the last six Sundays in 2020 and the first Sunday of 2021, we are going to study the final seven passages of Scripture that are part of our church “Fighter Verses” memory program. We thought that in this time of chaos and uncertainty the best thing that we can do is to try to get God’s Word deep into our hearts and lives. We are doing so that we might help each other be filled with peace and hope in these crazy CoVid times. So, would you be willing to join us in this? Would you take up the challenge to memorize some or all of these passages? Would you be willing not only to finish 2020 by kneading God’s Word into your heart and mind and life, but to get a jump on 2021 with the comfort, encouragement and hope of the Scriptures? Here is a list of the verses that you as individuals or families can learn and share together so that we as a church family might see, savor and share the all-surpassing worth of Christ!
