Great Truth for Great Troubles by Pastor Kevin Dibbley

When we go through times of trouble, we can sometimes lose sight of the fact that in the gospel, God is unquestionably and unequivocally for us. Like Peter, we look at the waves and we forget the Lord is right there with us. We can begin to let the hardships shape our view of God and His mission rather than letting God and the great truths of the gospel shape our understanding of our trials. Romans 8:29-30 is a glorious synopsis of all that God does in our salvation from beginning to end. We need these truths to shape our thinking so that we live our lives as more than conquerors! Join us this Sunday, as we consider Great Truths for Great Troubles. Would you pray for a powerful outpouring of God’s Spirit on Waterbrooke Church during these days?

From Series: "More Than Conquerors"

Our new sermon series is on one of the greatest chapters in the Bible, Romans 8! This series is entitled "More Than Conquerors: Everything Leads to Glory". We are in interesting and unprecedented times and it is crucial for us to understand the absolute security and incredible resources that we possess as believers for negotiating uncertain and difficult times. Won’t you read through Romans 8 several times? I am convinced that if we believe what we read here, we will have peace and we will have the power to live fully engaged missional lives for the gospel. Let’s pray together that the church would move mightily forward at this very hour!
