October 11, 2020 "Having Hard Conversations with Hurting Christians – Cultivating a Culture of True Gospel Reconciliation"

This Sunday’s message is called, "Having Hard Conversations with Hurting Christians – Cultivating a Culture of True Gospel Reconciliation". In Philippians 4:1- 3, the apostle Paul has to call a couple of dear Christian friends to work out their differences. In fact, Paul calls the church to become part of the process. In a world of “Minnesota Nice”, where we are accustomed to withdrawing or becoming passive aggressive when someone wrongs us, we are called to create a church where the sins of others are transformed into opportunities for gospel growth. All families have struggles including God’s family. The difference between the church and the world, however, is that the church is called and committed to working through our differences towards a deeper unity and greater maturity in Christ. We are going to talk this Sunday about how the church can become a safe place to work through hurts and hardships for the glory of Christ. Pray that God would help us be this kind of kingdom in a world of increasing animosity and hostility.
